Finally!! Posting on my blog!

So sorry it's been awhile since I've posted on my blog. We went to Disney World last week and I'm trying to catch up on laundry, putting the Christmas tree up, Christmas shopping, and taking care of an almost 3-month-old. Disney at Christmas is still THE BEST TIME to go, but it can really make things hectic when you get back home and you're trying to get ready for Christmas.

We had so much fun at Disney! I just love going there - it's one of my favorite places to go. It's just so magical for kids...and ok, me too! We've gone to Disney World when Colten was 18 months old, 3 years old, and now 5 years old. And it's different for him every time. The moment he steps on Main Street and sees Cinderella's castle...is priceless. I must admit it makes me tear up just thinking about it. He's just so happy and excited. I am really looking forward to Addison at that age and seeing the excitement in her eyes. Of course at 10 weeks old, all she wants to do is eat. But that's ok...she'll be there one day - and I don't want her to grow up too fast! I can't even believe that she's almost 3 months old! Here's some of the 150 photos I took...

(If you look at the right of this picture, that's my mom on the scooter...zooming by - HA!!)

My little drummer boy!!

Colten got pictures taken with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy...but his favorite is Pluto!

The Castle is beautiful at Christmas time - it looked like it had ice crystals all over it and it changed colors.

This face says it all!!
The fireworks were incredible!

Addison was such a good baby!!
(This picture looks alot like me as a baby...by the way.)

I know what you're thinking..."Joel? Having fun? On vacation??" What?? Yes, he did. And I caught him in the act!! Ah-HA!!!

Remember what Colten was for Halloween this year? A Red Power Ranger! And he got to meet the Red Power Ranger at Hollywood Studios! He was so excited!! Strike a Power Ranger pose!

Addy was definitely Daddy's girl this week!

After riding Pirates of the Caribbean, Colten HAD to be a pirate!
Yo Ho Yo Ho - a pirate's life for me!!

Baby Bathtime!

I just couldn't resist posting these sweet little pics of Addy after her bath. She is such a cutie!!

She is smiling so much now. Her whole face lights up with her mouth wide open, and you can see her cute little dimple on her right cheek. I've tried to get a picture of this, but by the time I get the camera...it's too late. :( Colten has made her smile on occasion too, and he loves it!

Last night we had a girls night out! My mom, Reva, Becky and I went to The Lion King on Broadway downtown at the Murat! It was sooooo amazing!! We had a great time. My dad watched Colten and Addy while we were gone for over 4 hours - what a trooper! Thanks, Dad!!

Here's the only photo we took before they informed us that no cameras were allowed in the theater. Oops!

Daddy's home

It's so nice to have Joel home! He was gone all last week for work. Last Thursday was our 9th anniversary. He came home Friday night and brought me some Jade colored roses - so beautiful! He really missed being away from us. He said I gave Addison a double chin while he was gone...whatever! I think it's adorable!!
Colten had his Fall Program at school last week. It was all Veggie Tales songs - it was so cute! I can't believe how big he looks up there on that stage.

He's so serious!!!

Trick or Treat...Smell my Feet!

We had a great time Friday night - we went trick-or-treating at Dick and Reva's house. Colten had a blast this year. He's finally able to keep up with all the older kids, running from house to house. Colten was a Red Power Ranger and Addison was a Pea in a Pod (Addy did not participate). It was a great time, here's some of my favorite photos:
(Top row left to right) Grace as a witch, Zac as a mobster, Levi as a vampire (Middle row left to right) Lucy as Sharpay from High School Musical, Makenzie as Gabriella from HSM, Colten as Red Ranger
(Bottom row) Vivian as Snow White

Addison did NOT enjoy being a pea in a pod...or maybe she was ready to eat.

Colten also had Community Helper Day at school. All the kids were to dress up as someone who works in their community. He choose his profession to be a Pastor. Here's what he looked like - he was so proud to be a pastor! They were suppose to tell their class what their community helpers jobs are in the community. Colten's teacher, Mrs. Cloud, asked him if pastors visit sick people in the hospital...of course he said, "No way!" I guess he's not a fan of hospitals.

I can't believe how fast time is going by...Addison is 5 weeks old now! She is getting bigger everyday. She's got cute little chubby cheeks...I just love them! She weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces at her doctor's appointment last Thursday. Here are some pics I took when she turned 1 month old.

I got her smiling!!

She can hold her head up very well. She is so strong!!

Me and my girl!!

Big Brother Colten

Colten loves being a big brother...from a distance. He loves to kiss her on the forehead and laughs when she has the hiccups, but that's about it. Every day he gets more and more comfortable around Addison. Monday night, Joel and I talked him into holding her for the first time. We told him to just sit on the couch and hold out your arms - that's all there is to it! I put the boppy on his lap, so she would be supported. Colten was so proud of himself! And I got the cutest pictures!!

Busy Weekend!

It's so great to be out of the house again! I haven't really gone anywhere since Addison was born - just to Colten's school and my parents' house - so going shopping this weekend with my mom was a real treat! It started Saturday morning...Colten had his last soccer game. And he won a trophy!! (Well, everyone got trophies...but he was so proud!)

Joel and my dad had a golf tournament, so we (me, Colten, Addy, and my mom) went to Plainfield and ate at Red Robin, then went shopping at Metropolis mall. It was the first time I used Addy's new stroller - she loved it and so did I!! Colten found a Red Power Ranger action figure at TJ Maxx that he just fell in love with - it may have something to do with his Halloween costume this year.

Anyway, he had the red one - so, of course, he had to have the other colors too - blue, black, pink, yellow, and green. He just loves multiples of things. He's always been like that. So, we went all over Plainfield trying to find those Power Rangers. We couldn't find them. I ended up getting them on ebay. Which worked out pretty well...it was cheaper than in the stores.

On Sunday, Addy and I went to church for the first time since she was born. We got there late, but...better late than never! I'm definitely not use to getting 2 kids, myself, and a husband ready for church yet. It's something I'll have to work on. After church, Joel and my dad went to yet another golf tournament, so we went out to lunch then to the Edinburgh Outlet Mall. We had another fun day! Addison and Colten were really great as Mom and I shopped for underwear and purses. Ha!! Maybe next year, Colten will be able to spend the day at the golf course instead of the outlet mall. Poor little guy. So, that was our busy weekend. Next weekend, we plan on going to the pumpkin patch...lots of pictures to come!
